• “Confess” means you are admitting or testifying. The New Testament is to confess or acknowledge; to state personal belief. If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved. (Romans 10:9).
• When you testify, you are confessing what you believe.
• We do it privately when we confess, but it can also be public. When it’s done during public baptisms, the person confesses their faith before the witnesses before being immersed in the water. Sometimes, individuals will confess their sins as described in the Scriptures. 1 Jonh 1:9 NKJV). “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
• When you confess, it is powerful but not like a decree.
• “Proclaim” means to announce something officially or publicly. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew root word is qara, meaning to call out, recite, cry out, and read. When the Spirit of the Lord is upon us, we can bring anointed proclamations of the truth in public communications and officially proclaim it.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to [a]heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,” Isaiah 61:1-2 (NKJV)

• In the New Testament, the Greek word “proclaim” is to publish, proclaim openly something which has been done, proclaim after the manner of a herald, and announce a thing. It involves boldness, and it also means “to shout forth.” As new believers, the others often go out on the streets with a group of believers and preach boldly on the street corners or in the marketplace. Anywhere they can preach the Gospel -the good news about Christ. Most of the time, they would have a sound system or none but would invite people to come and hear “good news.” The herald announced, proclaimed openly, shouted the Gospel, and asked those who rallied to receive the prayer for salvation and healing.
• However, confession is often personal and even sometimes private; a proclamation is more vital and official than a confession, although both may contain the same content.
• A “Decree”-is an official order issued by a legal, governmental authority. It differs from a confession or a proclamation in that it is brought forth through governmental initiation, as a decree carries much more power than a confession or proclamation.
• It is defined as a “written edict of royal enactment, of divine authority that this made in the name of Jesus our King even more powerful because He is for all eternity the King of all kings (Revelation 19:16). There is no authority more extraordinary than that of Christ Jesus. When you speak His Word, it carries incomparable weight and power; it will not be revoked!
• “When you decree a thing, it will be established. And the light will shine on your ways!” (Job 42:7). You will then be established in victory, and light will shine on your ways when you make a decree; you are “cutting off, destroying and exterminating.” This is a powerful way to engage in spiritual warfare. Decree the Word of God and let go of work for you to destroy your adversary and their strategies.
