TURNING ON THE POWER

  • Through meditation, the integrity of God’s Word becomes a reality to you. As the truth is revealed in your spirit, you will begin to do all written in it.
  • You were doing God’s Word results from keeping God’s words in your mouth and meditating on His Word. Only acting on God’s Word guarantees success.
  • Beware of the trap of mental assent. It is subtle because it sounds good. The words can tag a great deal of the time mental assent, but and if.
  • These two little words will rob you of your confession of faith. Put them out of your vocabulary when believing in God and replace them with the Word of God.
  • As a born-again Holy Spirit-filled believer, you and I don’t need power. We simply need to more fully release what we’ve already been given.
  • We need to allow the Spirit of God within us to flow through us in greater measure. If you’re the one who is keeping a lid on the power of God in your life, then you’re the one who can take that lid off! You don’t have to sit around waiting for some super-anointed prophet to come to town and lay hands on you.
  • You don’t have to wait for God to send an angel to hit you with his glory stick. You don’t have to wait for anything.
  • You can make a quality decision to increase the flow of God’s power to turn it on your life. starting today. It’s in the Word of God. Thank God we don’t have to wait. God’s power is always on! He turned it on and made it always on!
  • He turned it on and made it available to every one of us almost 2,000 years ago on the Day of Pentecost. and He hasn’t turned it on and off. God is always on.
  • He just waiting for us to get fully turned on to that power. He is waiting for us to get with the program and start doing the works that Jesus did, and even greater works. (John 14:12).
  • Jesus didn’t speak words of faith one moment and words of doubt the next. He always spoke God’s WORD; as my Father hath taught me, He said, I speak these things” (John 8:28).
  • MORE THAN A BLACK LEATHER BOOK, NOT ONLY INK AND PAPER. The Word of God is active and alive.
  • I know the Word of God is important as you may say, “but I can’t just see how can turn up the power of God in my life.”
  • You think it’s just a black, leather book you wag and show to church on Sunday and then leave on the coffee table the rest of the week. But the truth is, God’s WORD IS NOT A BOOK. I has been recorded in a book, but the WORD itself is what God has said to us.
  • GOD’S WORD IS AS POWERFUL AS HE IS. A WORD IS ALWAYS AND ONLY AS POWERFUL AS THE PERSON WHO GAVE IT. IT’S GOD. We don’t have to be religious about it. He never changes.
  • Invite God to speak to you as you read his Word and act into it or be a doer with the Word of God. Be attentive; listen to what the Holy Spirit may reveal about yourself and your life.
  • You don’t just read words by scanning your eyes across the lines on the pages; slow down, absorb them. Read them repeatedly until you’ve allowed God to speak to you about what he sees in you and how he’s calling you to follow him more fully.
  • You personalize what you’re reading; realize it’s not only historical or poetic but also inspired and timeless. God’s Word is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
