Scammer Edward Trellenby made a horrible mistake. His robo-dialer connected to the cell phone of retired Chicago mobster “Papa” Paul Lenetti. It prompted “Papa” Paul to take up a new hobby — finding and punishing scammers, spammers, and cybercriminals.

He tasked lovable married sociopaths Alex and Lara Cutter to punish them in ways most scam victims would applaud, and then leave the crooks for the cops to find. The pair of professional hitmen took up the new enterprise with glee, finding each visit a source of merriment.

FBI Special Agent Cody Smutters has the thankless task of coordinating the search for the scammers’ tormentors. No one really wants Alex and Lara to stop, and even the press is on their side. Complications arise when a romance between Cody and the beautiful psych profiler Dr. Haley Briggs develops. A nexus of characters results in Cody being read into the government conspiracy behind “Papa” Paul’s endeavor.
