Tennessee Adams was a Union soldier in the Tennessee Calvary. Ordered to capture the fleeing President, Jefferson Davis and the Confederate Treasury, near the end of the Civil War. His troop was then charged with conveying that treasure back to Washington D.C. In Wilkes County,Ga. they came under attack. His actions that day would not only dramatically affect the rest of his life, but four generations of his descendants.
