In order to give you some advice I need to tell you the story about how I came (hopefully) to overcome my fears and use these pick-up lines in a supermarket.
In the process of getting this helpful advice you will meet three people (well there will be others, there will be more, but there are three main ones) — the girl in the blue jeans (BJ); the girl in the pink dress (PD); and the girl with soft, gentle skin (SGS). 
The first I met was the girl in the blue jeans.
But hold on. At the supermarket?! Yes, the supermarket! Because, let’s face it, the supermarket has become the best place to have a simple, uncomplicated chat-up with someone……….
