In a small suburban town lives a boy named Nolan. He dreams of a world far beyond his understanding, even though he is perfectly fine with the normality of his life. His interests of the supernatural would have him come across information on something similar to having an imaginary friend. With this new friend and others to accompany him, he hopes to better understand the world around him. 

The world begins to offer him too much as a cosmic phenomenon grants him various powers, which includes bringing his friend into the material world. Although terrifying at first, it’s like a wish coming true. But this power gains the attention of a questionable group who is after anyone who comes into contact with that very phenomenon. It becomes a long, existential journey from there.
