I am a ghost. A dead guy. Deader than a doornail. You might think that means I have no life, no friends, no stuff. Not true. But I can understand why you might think I was a lost cause because when my head got bashed in during the car crash, I figured that was it. I found myself meandering down a sandy beach road near the Dune Burger and thinking that my life was pretty much sucking. I was alone, dead, and had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. Anyway, as they say ‘never say never’ because a short while later, as I sat on an outside table at the Dune, a skateboarding kid came flying down that road. At first, I just thought he was a crazy kid who shouldn’t be riding in the middle of the street. I also thought he couldn’t see me. But then he called my name, and I knew I wasn’t alone anymore. As it turns out, his name was Luke, and he was an angel sent to teach me how to be dead. There is an art to it, you know. Pretty soon, I was playing Go Fish at the Black Pelican with a pair of lovely ghost ladies and T.L. Daniels. T.L. and the ladies, died in the 1800s. T.L. was still angry being murdered. So, my new life is pretty awesome considering I am dead. Except for one thing… my heart aches for one last night with my one true love, Emily. My new friends found out, and now we are on a mission. This is my ghost love story.
