TRIGGER WARNING – The following stories include scenes of intense graphic violence including murder, revenge, mayhem, rape and…Elvis. Read on at your own risk!
These stories were all written in the early 1990’s, lost and then rediscovered.
I got my start in True Crime pulp magazines and then “Adult” periodicals; then discovered “Splatterpunk”. My life-long love of horror and science fiction and mystery inform my work. This book includes:
‘A Taste of Blood’: Demetrius, the Blood Demon, offers teenager Harry Gold a chance for revenge: in exchange for murder.
‘Bad Dreams’: A young boy is trapped with his murderous and abusive father and someone is going to die.
‘The Backup’: Frank Trampoline experiences murder every time he goes to sleep. Except his dreams leave bodies behind.
‘Muddy Lake’: William Holder is a rapist, but it’s Arthur Piddle, the jury foreman, who incurs a survivor’s wrath when he refuses to convict and blames the victim, instead.
‘Elvis in the Mirror’: Johnny’ was always a loser. Until he met the King. And then things went seriously bad.
‘The Last Day’: Jon Felder thought everything sucked. It’s about to get much worse.
‘Eighch’: He thought he’d inherit everything: But his father died and left him nothing. Maybe heroin will ease the pain.
‘Poetic Justice’: Jimmy loves beating up people, particularly gay men in Manhattan’s West Village, at the height of the Epidemic. You can run, but you can’t hide.
‘Messenger’: Remember that day that Jesus’ sister showed up in New York City?
‘The Bull’: Someone hurt Sara Angel a long time ago. Now someone’s gonna pay.
